It is with shock and sadness that SEU mourns the sudden loss of life of Finley Brooker.

Finley will be remembered for his passion for the game of cricket. As a player, coach and administrator he always had the interest of cricket at heart.

He started his career as a professional player for the Griqualand West Cricket Board from 1992 to 2000 and continued his career with the Northern Gauteng Cricket Board until 2002.

Thereafter he became involved in coaching and administration until at the time of his passing was a Coaching Education Manager for Cricket South Africa.

Filey was instrumental in getting SEU into the cricket industry and has served diligently on the SEU Executive Committee for the past 2 and half years.

He will be remembered for his analytical mind, constructive engagement and standing firm for what is right and was not scared to point out what was wrong.

His unforeseen death has left many unanswered questions and our prayers are with his family and friends.

We will miss you Finley! Hamba Kahle! May you rest in peace!
